Elie Gamzon

Founder of Silver Arrow, Israel

Elie Gamzon is renowned for his pioneering work in aerospace engineering and entrepreneurship.

After earning a B.Sc. in Aeronautical Engineering from the Technion Institute of Technology in 1965 and an M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from the Weizmann Institute in 1975, Gamzon served in the Israeli Air Force from 1965 to 1985, leading innovative programs in UAVs, Missiles, and C3I development, retiring as a Colonel.

In 1985, he founded “Silver-Arrow L.P.”, a pivotal player in Israel’s UAV market, later acquired by Elbit Systems Ltd. His leadership continued as Chief Technology Officer of the Mossad from 1997 to 2002. In 2003, he founded “Vertical U.A.V Ltd.” and co-founded “Engineuity R&D”, focusing on UAV technology and alternative energy until 2020.

Colonel Gamzon is a prolific inventor, notably awarded the “Israel Defense Prize” twice for his contributions to air-vehicles, control systems, aircraft propulsion, and alternative energy. Today, he serves as a consultant in the UAV industry, addressing advanced technical and marketing challenges, continuing to influence aerospace innovation globally.
