Gal is the CTO and member of the management at Nanomotion Ltd., an Israeli company that produces motion applications based on propriety piezo electric motors. These applications are developed for a variety of markets such as SEMICON, Medical, Defence, Aeronautics, and Space. The company is part of Johnson Electric, a global corporate which is a producer of motors and electrical switches for the automotive, Industrial, and home appliances.

As CTO, Gal is responsible for research and development of new core technologies. His team works on multi-discipline research areas including material science, mechanical structures, power electronics, and control. The team cooperates with several academic groups and external experts on advanced research topics.

Gal joined Nanomotion Ltd. in 2000 as a physicist in the R&D team. He led the development of motion systems based on Nanomotion proprietary Piezo electric motors. Later, he took on various roles such as Project Manager, Physics Group and Mechanical Team Manager, and R&D Manager. As R&D manager he was leading a multi-discipline team of 20 people supporting the growth of the company.

Prior to joining Nanomotion Ltd., Gal worked at Pachmas Packaging Industries from 1991 to 2000 as QA Manager and Plant Engineer. Later he was part of the BOD of Pachmas Industries.

Gal graduated with a B.Sc. in Material Engineering and a B.A. in Physics from the Technion in 1991. He also holds an M.A. in Quality Assurance and Biomedical Engineering from the Technion. Gal has over 15 patents that were written on different subjects during his work at Pachmas and Nanomotion.
