Mr. Ami Weisz is manager of the Research, Development and Flight Testing Department in the Airworthiness Division at CAAI – Civil Aviation Authority of Israel. He joined CAAI five years ago, after having completed a 22 year service in the Israeli Air Force as an officer, project manager and aero-design engineer. Ami’s department at CAAI is responsible for the airworthiness engineering oversight in the fields of Flight Test Engineering, flight control , human factors, and operational assessment and approval of both innovative UAS applications and experimental manned aviation programs for R&D as well as type certification. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering and a Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, both from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
